PROGRAM OBJECTIVES/LEARNING OUTCOMES 

Candidates should become paediatric oriented ophthalmologists, proficient in management of simple paediatric cases 

WHO CAN APPLY 

Applicant must be an Ophthalmologist or Ophthalmologist in training. Proficiency in SICS and Trabeculectomy is an advantage

Applicant must be a fellow of FWACS or FMCOph or MWACS or DO FNPMC, ICO or its equivalent in country of origin 
 
All Foreign nationals are required to obtain a temporary registration of license with the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria 

SHORT COURSES 

DURATION 

3 to 6 months 

1. Paediatric cataract surgery - 3months                              

2. Paediatric glaucoma surgery  - 4months      

3. SICS /Trab training and evaluation - 6months

The applicant: 
Should have successfully completed an ophthalmology residency training in a recognised training institution. 
 
Can be qualified consultant ophthalmologists
